Blink Identity invited to DHS Biometric Tech Rally

Blink Identity was one of 12 vendors invited to participate in the 2018 Biometric Tech Rally sponsored by DHS. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) is holding a series of Biometric Technology Rallies to support industry innovation and advance technologies that support DHS and Homeland Security Enterprise operations. These rallies will bring together technology vendors and volunteers to test new and emerging biometric technology systems. The first event in this series, to be held in March 2018 at the Maryland Test Facility (MdTF) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, aims to challenge industry to provide high-throughput face or iris technology systems.

Sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Division in collaboration with NIST, the 2018 Biometric Technology Rally calls upon industry to provide face or face/iris systems to meet the challenge of traveler identification in a high-throughput security environment using an unmanned system. Systems will be evaluated using diverse, large-scale testing with volunteers.

Supersonic Startups: The Techstars Music Class Of 2018 Unveiled

Blink Identity is proud to announce it has been accepted into the Techstars Music 2018 cohort. Techstars is the Worldwide Network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. The program was announced in Forbes:

Last year, in a world that saw the release of the $999 iPhone X, one of the most talked-about devices in music circles was the Mighty, an $85 streaming player about the size of a half dollar coin. The tiny dynamo earned a slew of press coverage, and now, perhaps something even more valuable: a spot in the Techstars Music Class of 2018.
This year's group consists of 10 startups--revealed here exclusively by Forbes--and spans a wide range of music-related fields. In addition to audio playback (Mighty), the roster touches biometrics (Blink Identity, Endel); artificial intelligence (Edison. AI, SecondBrain, Spark.DJ); ticketing (Hello Tickets, Seated); and streaming (Gimme Radio, Soundcharts).
